A Field Trip to my house!

This month’s team Stamp A Rama was held at my house while our upline is away. It was a fun night filled with stamping, chatting and of course food :) Can’t have an event without something to fill our tummies! Stamping does take a lot of energy you know :)

Anyway, this was one of my completed swaps using a layout challenge that Tish had found. I’m not really good with challenges, as I often find it hard to stick to and this one was no exception.

I almost forgot to post this card! I had to create a project for a class I was having with some parents at work. I wanted it to be special since we are almost at the end of our curriculum year and their kids have done so well (mommies too) with their work. When I saw Jan’s 3D pop up ball project, I thought... PERFECT! But after thinking about it, I convinced myself it would take too long. I only had 1 1/2 hours and 10 people attending! There was no way I would be able to finish that in time, right? So, I wracked my brain thinking of other possibilities and still couldn’t bring myself to make a substitute LOL. That 3D ball has powers of persuasion like no other 3D die I’ve ever seen! (Okay, so I haven’t seen that many but...) So in the end I prepped like crazy the night before and found this card to CASE for the front (I procrastinated so long I didn’t have time to create the front!). I changed a few of the details to suit my needs but kept a lot of it the same. To keep the card closed I had to use the wider grosgrain ribbon and attach a latch at the bottom of the olive strip. The card was a huge success and since most of it was prepped for them, I finished with 10 minutes to spare! Now all they have to do is take it home to add their pictures to the sides of the ball :)

Baby Shower Favors

One of my mom’s co-workers is having a baby shower this week. I was coerced into making her favors. She wanted her favors to be pink, girly and to include butterflies. I had to keep it fairly simple because they gave me a limited budget and a fair amount of favors to do! I used Gretchen’s idea and tweaked it a bit to suit my needs. I hope she likes it :)
